Focus: ASP.NET/C#/SQL Server Custom Application Design/Development
Reports to: Director of Development
Job Type: Contract
Developers working for Matson & Isom Technology Consulting (MITC) are capable of performing work with or without direct supervision. They generally have at least four to five years of industry experience and have developed competency in client communications and consulting.
MITC is looking for an application developer versed in web and database development. Expertise and demonstrated experience in enterprise application development and systems integration desired.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and experience designing, developing, deploying and supporting custom internet-facing solutions using ASP.NET (C#) 2.0/3.0/3.5/4.0.
- Experience with OO design patterns
- Emphasis on clean, reusable, documented code.
- Knowledge and experience implementing standards-compliant GUIs using HTML, CSS, XML, XSL, and JavaScript/JQuery/AJAX from UI designer mockups.
- Strong database development experience utilizing the Microsoft SQL Server platform. Should have experience developing stored procedures, triggers, and DDL.
- Ability to participate in complex, multi-phased projects with regular development milestones and build schedules for client delivery.
- Personable, works well with others. Ability to communicate effectively and maintain cooperative working relationships with peers, management, clients, and vendors.
- Follow established procedures while being able to develop and implement new procedures, formats, forms and documents to improve organizational efficiency.
- Participate in meetings with management and other personnel to solve problems, communicate status of work and increase personal and organizational efficiency.
- Integration experience with third-party applications a plus.
