How It All Began
In 1962, Robert M. Matson and W. Howard Isom formed their original partnership in a small downtown Chico office with two employees. Today, the corporation of Matson and Isom has over eighty employees and a reputation for the highest quality accounting, auditing, finance, and tax services in the North State with offices in Chico and Redding.
In the 1980’s, Matson and Isom Computer Consulting Services was formed to meet increasing client demand for a high level of technical services and support. During the nineties, the department steadily expanded, along with its client base. In 2000, Matson & Isom Technology Consulting (MITC) was incorporated separately from the accountancy firm. In 2006, Matson & Isom Technology Consulting completed the transition to an employee-owned firm. The two companies continue to collaborate on resources and services.
