Matson & Isom Technology Consulting employees came together Thursday night at the Red Tavern to celebrate a great year and to spread holiday cheer.
A small crew from MITC went into the wild last weekend to pack into Big Bear Lake in the Trinity Alps. The pretty trail took the hikers over Big Bear Creek, past several small falls, cascades, rapids and through dry oak woods. After a steep climb up the last leg of the trail over polished granite slabs, the hikers, Karl Boercker, Greg Delorey, Michael Hering and Emma Jessee, were happy to see that the sole camping spot at Big Bear Lake was still available! The Trinity Alps are mountains in Northern California, located to the northwest of Redding. The Trinity Alps Wilderness covers 517,000 acres, making it the second largest wilderness area in California.

In August, we held our annual retreat! This year we went to the Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch just outside of Quincy, CA (www.greenhornranch.com). As we do wherever we go, the entire MITC Posse had a blast! Almost the entire crew made it up this year, and after a weekend of BBQ, horseshoes, trail rides, cookouts, line dancing, fishing and swimming we were relaxed and ready to tackle technology once again.
Summer retreat is a great way for the MITC team to relax, refresh and reflect, not to mention, to have some fun! Thanks to the entire team for attending and making this year's retreat such a wonderful success!

Matson & Isom Technology Consulting is pleased to announce the engagement of Chris Harp, Associate Consultant here at MITC, to Christine Davidson, Executive Assistant at American Commodity Company, Williams, CA. Chris and Chrissy met at Granzella’s in Williams, California 2 years ago. Chris moved out to California to live with Chrissy and her daughter, Paisley, in December of 2008, and started working for MITC in January 2009. They were engaged on August 15, 2009 and will be married next year.
As one of the newest members of the MITC team, Chris has quickly proven himself to be invaluable as manager of the MITC remote service desk. He is consistently recognized by clients for providing excellent service and support. His attention to detail and client-focused approach is second to none. We are happy to have Chris at MITC and proud to welcome Chrissy into our family as well. Congratulations on your engagement, Chris and Chrissy!
In June we held the Annual MITC Company Picnic at the 5 Mile Recreation Area in Chico, CA (our hometown!) We enjoyed a delicious BBQ lunch provided to us by one of our favorite clients, J. Lee Roy's (you may be familiar with their famous dippin' sauce - www.jleeroys.com - we designed their website, too!) Our annual company BBQ is a great time for us to get together with our co-workers and their families for some summer fun outside the office. We played volleyball, croquet, and sought various butterflies and bugs in the creekbeds! We can't wait for next summer's BBQ!
