Microsoft Launches New Windows Small Business Server 2011!
March 17, 2011

Today Microsoft announced the launch of Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard. More than just a minor update, Microsoft states that it has completely revamped this latest version.
With a goal of helping businesses maximize the value of IT, even when IT resources are stretched very thin, Microsoft introduces SBS 2011 as all-in-one enterprise class solution for Small and Mid-Sized Business designed to address key customer pain points. They’ve refreshed SBS Standard’s technologies to offer exciting, new, cost-cutting and productivity-increasing features such as mobile device security that ensures security policy enforcement by default; enhanced migration tools for quick server deployment and maintenance; automatic backup of business data; and the ability to access and manage files from just about anywhere.
While SBS 2011 Standard is designed and priced for businesses with up to 75 users, Microsoft is planning to release an Essentials version for smaller businesses with up to 25 users in the near future. It will offer many of the same features as the Standard version, but with a simplified dashboard and a lower price tag, of course.
