Last month we hosted our quarterly Digital Marketing Workshop. This session focused on Facebook & Customer Care, and covered everything from Facebook targeting, Facebook Live, how to tie your social media efforts to ROI, how to boost customer care offerings, and much more. 

One highlight of this workshop included a section on using custom bots in Facebook Messenger to provide better customer support. This practice is still in the early days, but already we've seen an increasing number of companies (both large and small) adopt this practice. One resource discussed during our session is Botsify, a platform used to build custom chat bots. Advances in this area of tech are constant, and even if you don't plan to immediately utilize this feature, we recommend playing around with the capabilities of chat bots. 

In another section, we discussed the benefits of using Facebook's powerful targeting feature to get the most ROI for your advertising and marketing dollars. The demographic/psychographic database hosted by Facebook is the most detailed one in existence, and thanks to their aggressive data collection practice, their platform remains the best place for businesses to reach an audience. It's worth noting however, that updates in late 2016 to the Facebook algorithm have made it more important to be well-versed in your desired demographic, and how to track the success of your content. 

Our next Digital Marketing Workshop (and the last one of 2017) will be held on November 15, and will be focused on Data & Analytics (particularly those tied to Facebook). To get the most out of this session, we recommend that you have a Facebook Page set up for your business, a Business Manager account, and be fairly familiar with how to navigate the metrics of your Page.
