This week Facebook stayed true to its model of constantly updating its platform by launching Facebook Stories. Similar to Snapchat and Instagram Stories, this feature allows you to share images or short videos with friends, with the content expiring after 24 hours.

Facebook users can choose to share the images or videos with specific contacts, or add them to the "My Story" bar at the top of Facebook Messenger. What does this move mean for Facebook? It's likely that we'll see them pouring more money into expanding Messenger's capabilities over the coming months, especially as we see Snapchat only growing in popularity.
